The key to whether a company can make a profit and how much profit it can make depends on its operational status. Only by ensuring that the company's operational status is qualified can your company have a significant foundation for profitability. In addition to financial status and management mode, another important key point in the operation status of a company is the production management status. The production management status is mainly manifested in the following aspects:

1、 Production and operation mode

The production and operation mode covers several key constraints such as workshop scale, workshop structure, production process planning, assembly line equipment layout, equipment matching, automation level, management architecture, and quality management.

1. Workshop scale:

The scale of the workshop is the core point of a production-oriented enterprise. At the beginning of the company's establishment, the first thing to consider and determine is how big your company is planning to produce, how much production capacity it will have, what types of products it will produce, and what level of customers it will serve. This requires very clear indicators, because all the supporting facilities in the future are built on this foundation.

Firstly, different industries have varying demands for workshop scale. Paper packaging is mainly divided into six categories: premium boxes, cardboard boxes, watermark cardboard boxes, pre printed color boxes, offset corrugated color boxes, and offset corrugated color boxes. Of course, you can also group these major categories together for production. No matter how you want to position yourself, you must have a clear goal point, because once you invest halfway, it is difficult to change again. The production workshop can be large and have surplus, but it cannot be small, because once the workshop is small, you may not even have tears in your future production.

Secondly, the positioning of customer attributes must be clear. The type of customer is related to your production mode, process design, and equipment matching. The nature and specifications of packaging products required by different customer groups are different, so your company must have a clear goal of supplying to whom. For example, watermark turnover cardboard boxes are usually five layer cardboard boxes, and a width of 2 meters is sufficient. If your supply range within a radius of 100 kilometers can only provide universal turnover boxes, then you only need to provide a five layer cardboard production line. If your supply scope is a large household appliance and home furnishing enterprise, then your cardboard production line may need to be equipped with seven layers, and the specifications are better at 2.5 meters or more. Pre printed products are generally mid-range color boxes with small specifications, and the production process and flow are relatively simple. In addition to matching pre printing machines of different colors and quantities according to needs, the larger equipment is a three-layer cardboard line. However, the requirements for this type of cardboard line will be higher because it is related to surface treatment issues. Oil coated products and film coated products have different requirements for the cardboard production line. At the same time, there is a slitting machine whose cutting accuracy depends on following the standard operation. So, both the labeling system and the slitting system must be equipped with high-end equipment and technology. The die-cutting and box gluing equipment are matched proportionally according to the specifications of the pre printing machine, but the required workshop area can be smaller compared to other processes.

If your customer base consists of high-end products such as mobile phones, alcohol, and jewelry, then you must be paired with a high-end packaging line. The production process of hardcover boxes tends to be complex, but the workshop space required during the production process is not very large. The finished product warehouse requires more space.

Cardboard box production is a high-end but simple production process, because cardboard boxes are generally small-sized packaging boxes, widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, toothpaste, cigarettes and other products. In addition to printing machines and possibly laminating machines, these products are also die-cutting machines and box gluing machines. In short, these devices do not require large specifications, and many products can be integrated into printing, die-cutting, waste disposal, and box gluing machines, or connected machines. Therefore, the workshop scale for the application of such products is small.

In the entire paper packaging industry, the offset printing corrugated packaging industry has complex processes, multiple procedures, and a large workshop area. The customer base coverage of offset printing corrugated packaging is also extensive, mainly including small household appliances, food, beverages, dairy products, clothing, shoes and hats, etc., especially in the fast-moving consumer goods industry where the usage is relatively large. The production process of offset printing corrugated packaging is basically in 6-7 processes, so there is a large demand for turnover area. In addition, the production batch scale is also large, so the supporting equipment group is also many. In addition, due to the characteristics of having a large number of customers and diverse products, the industry requires a relatively large workshop area.

A comprehensive workshop, as the name suggests, refers to the production of several packaging methods together. A comprehensive workshop is not just a random combination, because it needs to fully consider the processes of various types of products and try to utilize each other as much as possible to maximize the production capacity of equipment. Especially when it comes to taking care of each other's relationships without interfering with each other, each performing their own duties while achieving maximum efficiency. So, regardless of the type of production process, it is better to first determine the basic requirements and then plan the scale and structural design of the workshop. Try not to build the workshop before making the layout, as it is generally difficult to achieve maximum efficiency.
